Although the new dress watches were released about two weeks ago, just recently Marc has announced that his website will move onto a new platform. The website will have a visual overhaul as well as some more upgrades behind the scenes to make things smoother and more user friendly for everyone. The new dress watches however need more attention as for the price and what they offer they are some of the best dress watches one can buy.
The three new watches in question are the #ISL-36, #ISL-38 and #ISL-39, while two of these watches are very similar visually apart from the dial colour one of these watches has an entirely different bezel compared to the other two. To make things simple I will go through each type of watch and their specifications. The first two I will go through is #ISL-38 and #ISL-39 as they are the same watch besides the dial colour. These two watches both come with a fluted bezel which is easier described and shown through pictures down below. They also have luminous hour and minute hands as well as the hour markers. The dial colours are blue for #ISL-38 and grey for #ISL-39. They both have a sunburst dial effect on that colour creating a more elegant look that is well suited for a dress watch.
#ISL-36 on the other hand does not come with a fluted bezel and also comes with a solid black dial. If you prefer a sleeker look and try to avoid much colour this would be the watch for you. Just like the other two it also comes with a luminous hour and minute hand and hour markers as well. All three watches come with a jubilee bracelet which a lot of people judging by the reviews has called it extremely comfortable to wear, which is exactly how a jubilee bracelet should be. All three watches feature an exhibition caseback to show the Miyota 9015 automatic movement that has a power reserve of 42 hours. It also features hacking (the second hand stops moving when the crown of the watch is pulled out) and also can be manually wound as well. All of these watches also come with anti-reflective sapphire on both the caseback as well as the front. They are all water resistant to 100 metres and come with a 1 year warranty.
It is obvious with the fluted bezel that there was a lot of inspiration taken from a Rolex Datejust, but these watches also respectfully do not fully blatantly copy it entirely. Making them watches that should be respected regardless as they still stand as extremely good and fairly priced watches for what they offer. Personally, I would love to see #ISL-36 to also have a fluted bezel as that would make me instantly pull the trigger for this watch. All three watches are priced at exactly $349 and judging by these reviews people seem to love them. Marc continuously delivers amazing watches at a great price and it seems like from my previous post my prayers have been answered for a dress watch. I will definitely keep an eye out to see how the website will look once it is released to the public and to any future releases by Marc.
