Another exclusive watch released by Seiko for their 140th Anniversary also featuring a very unique dial to showcase Japanese nature and scenery. This watch unlike the Presage which was talked about here, has more features and it is a lot more limited in amount of pieces available. The watch is limited to only 1,500 pieces worldwide and features GPS controlled time and time zone adjustment.

If we avoid looking at the functions of the watch the biggest draw to it would be that dial. The dial is set to capture the look of cherry blossoms at night. The name given to these flowers is called Yozakura and when seen under star-lit sky they give a magical glow to the space around them. The watch is supposed to capture this aesthetic as it is paired with the black case and bracelet with the purple dial and its pink hue. Just by looking at the watch it is more than evident that Seiko has definitely captured the theme and aesthetic of Yozakura in the night sky.

As for the features and specifications of the watch it comes in a case size of 42.7mm and comes with a dual-curved sapphire crystal. The case and strap are made of stainless steel that has a black coating on it, the strap is satin brushed on the top with highly polished sides. As for the features on the watch it controlled by the Calibre 5X53 movement that is GPS controlled for both the time and time zone adjustment and the watch itself is also water resistant to 100m. It also has a dual-time function with an AM/PM indicator and also has a perpetual calendar that is correct to February 2100. It is a solar powered watch and has an accuracy to +/-15 seconds per month and also features a very high magnetic resistance. It also features an automatic Daylight Savings time adjustment function and also features a power save function to keep the watch running for a very long time without losing power. The back of the watch shows the GPS Solar logo and also a limited edition stamp on the back as well as the usual specifications of the watch.

I would love to see this specific dial on other watches by Seiko, more specifically on the Presage line of watches as this dial I believe suits dress watches a lot more. However, this watch itself is an incredible watch and the dial and the features of the watch and a great start to the year especially for their 140th celebration. As mentioned before the watch is limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide and is priced at $2,750.
