At this price range you can pretty much buy most of the popular watches as well as be as specific as you want when looking for watches. This guide will just cover my own recommendations at this price range. All prices are in USD.
Seiko Prospex Alpinist Limited Model SBDC091 ($640)

Christopher Ward C65 Trident Automatic C65-41ADA1-S0BB0-VK ($845)
A very elegant divers watch and with a great brand. This watch even though it’s a diver, the style and the way it looks it could easily be worn in a formal setting and no one would even question you. The case comes at a diameter of 41mm and with a double domed sapphire crystal. It has a water resistance of 150m and a power reserve of 38 hours. The watch unlike many divers can come from the manufacturer themselves in a leather strap. It comes in either a blue dial and bezel or a black dial and red bezel.
Longines HydroConquest L3.741.4.56.6 ($800)
Longines is a very reputable manufacturer with a lot of rich history. As standard with a lot of watches at this price range, it comes with sapphire crystal and is at 39mm case diameter. This watch comes with an automatic movement and comes in a variety of case sizes from 39mm to 44mm. It has a 300m water resistance and also a unidirectional rotating bezel, which makes it one of the best dive watches available at this price range. The movement of the watch also comes with a 64 hour power reserve and luminescent hands and markers.
Citizen xC DEAR Collection Limited Model ES9460-53M ($730)
A ladies watch with a beautifully detailed dial and also comes equipped with a solar quartz movement, meaning it gets charged through solar light. The watch also comes with diamond set hour markers, anti-magnetic, and also comes with a power reserve indicator so you are aware of how much charge is left. Also it is radio controlled so the watch will always calibrate to the exact correct time. It also has an anti-reflective sapphire coating and the case is made of titanium. If you are looking for an elegant watch with a little bit of a flashy dial this will be perfect.
Junghans max bill Handaufzug 027/3702.04 ($770)
One of the best when it comes to encompassing the Bauhaus style of watch designs. At this price you will get a manual winding watch with a very reliable movement. You will also get a power reserve of 42 hours and a scratch resistant plexiglass. This will not be as strong as sapphire or mineral but any scratches can be repaired. This is the ladies version as the case size is 34mm but you can just as easily get the men’s version for a little bit more and get a bigger case size if you have larger wrists.
