Ace Jewelers has collaborated with Nomos a few times previously, and this watch will be their 6th time to collaborate with each other and will also celebrate a 5-year partnership with Nomos. Some of the previous collaborations include the Ace X Nomos Club Campus Amsterdam, Ace X Nomos Zurich Weltzeit Amsterdam and the Ace x Nomos Limited Edition Orion 100 Years De Stijl. All of these watches were met with high praise and this watch will be no different.
In celebration of the Lunar New Year and this being the Year of the Tiger, Jaeger-LeCoultre unveils a beautiful enamel tiger Reverso. The Reverso is definitely one of the most iconic watches to be produced from Jaeger-LeCoultre and worldwide and their enamel creations has always exceeded expectations and has always been made with incredible precision and quality and this one is no different.
This is the first watch from Oris that has a cloisonné enamel dial and it shows the Dragon King’s underwater palace. Unlike the usual watches from Oris where it always serves a purpose and tries to stay as close as it can to the design, this watch does not feature any hour markers and even the unidirectional bezel features no numbers but single batons in five-minute intervals. It can be argued that this Sun Wukong Artist Edition Oris Aquis’s only purpose is to showcase that beautiful dial and I cannot complain.
Being completely honest I have never heard of Ressence before, but when I saw this watch I had to write about it. Looking at the dial alone it will definitely confuse a lot of people especially on how to read the time on it and I tried using their interactive time simulator and I was still confused by the end of it. While it looks like a futuristic smartwatch it is run entirely by an automatic movement which is even more impressive as to how the dial functions.
While it is quite common for TAG Heuer to collaborate with athletes as their brand ambassadors, this one feels a bit out of place. While Naomi Osaka is a highly decorated and exceptional tennis player TAG Heuer makes a limited-edition diver. I don’t understand that train of thought but it might have been Naomi’s choice either way it is a very interesting watch with a unique dial design.
