Mr Porter Is Celebrating Their 10-Year Anniversary With 5 Limited Edition Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso’s

While Jaeger-LeCoultre is not the only watchmaker that is working with Mr Porter to celebrate their 10-year anniversary, they certainly have some of the best watches. Mr Porter has decided to work with 10 different watchmakers from the likes of Vacheron Constantin, IWC, Cartier, Oris, Baume & Mercier and of course Jaeger-LeCoultre. Each watch has a different city engraved on the reverse side and each one will be limited to 10 pieces worldwide.

Mr Porter was launched in February 2011, and has established themselves as a popular choice for men’s style. They are purely online and their headquarters are located in London and they also have an office in New York, and judging by some of the watchmakers that have decided to work with Mr Porter you can recognise the amount of influence Mr Porter has over the fashion industry. To celebrate their 10-year anniversary they have decided to partner up with 10 watchmakers to create limited edition pieces with each of them. My personal favourite has been the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso range and that is why I have decided to talk about them. The choice of the cities that are engraved were purely chosen by Mr Porter as some of their favourite places in the world. The 5 cities and the engravings that are available include New York (Lady Liberty), Milan (Gothic Duomo Cathedral), Paris (Eiffel Tower), Hong Kong (Iconic Skyline and Harbour) and finally London (The Queen Elizabeth II Tower and Palace of Westminister as viewed from the Westminister Bridge).

You get the classic JLC Reverso with a small seconds sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position of the dial. The hands of the watch are blue and baton-styled and the front is a silvered guilloché dial. For a watch of this calibre it obviously comes with sapphire crystal and comes paired with the Calibre 822/2 manual mechanical movement that has a power reserve of 45 hours. The case is made out of stainless steel and has a diameter of 45.6mm and each watch comes paired with a Casa Fagliano leather strap with a pin buckle. Each watch is only limited to 10 pieces worldwide and they all come in a special presentation box.

I will always be a fan of the JLC Reverso and the wide range that is available from the attainable to the highly exclusive and these 5 watches are no exception to that. Choosing a personal favourite from these 5 watches was a lot harder than I thought and I am still stuck between Milan and Hong Kong. Each watch is priced at $7,800 and while it is priced pretty similarly with the rest of the Reverso Range, each watch is only limited to 10 pieces worldwide.
