Seiko Prospex Alpinist Limited Model SBDC091 ($578)

This is currently the price on Sakura Watches and is a returning watch from last years buying guide. I am adding this purely because I currently own this watch and it has not only been an excellent daily driver but it is a watch I have not once regretted purchasing. The alpinist is one of the most popular watches from Seiko and for good reason. The green dial with the gold hands and hour markers and paired with a cyclops date window is an excellent choice and makes perfect sense as to why it is so popular. It features sapphire crystal on both the dial as well as the case back and is water resistant to 200m and the movement has a power reserve of 70 hours.

Tissot Le Ocle Powermatic 80 T006.407.16.033.00 ($575)

You can probably purchase this watch at a cheaper price, but this is currently the price through Tissot’s online store. You get an excellent dress watch that has a textured dial as well as an incredible automatic movement that has an impressive power reserve of 80 hours as the name suggests. You also get a watch with an excellent history and it comes with sapphire crystal in a 316L stainless steel case. It also comes paired with a black leather strap that also has a butterfly clasp to further help prevent unnecessary creasing on the strap. This watch is available in a variety of different case colours as well as strap/bracelet options and dial colours.

Christopher Ward C65 Trident Automatic C65-41ADA1-S0BB0-VK ($895)

Certainly, at the higher end for this price range but you get an excellent dive watch with a reputable brand and an automatic movement. If you are a fan of vintage divers this watch will tick all of those boxes, while housing a modern movement with a power reserve of 38 hours. It comes in a case size of 41mm and features a unidirectional aluminium bezel. The crystal is a unique glass-box sapphire crystal further accentuating the vintage diver look. It is also water resistant to 150m and this particular model comes paired with a vintage oak leather strap. It is an excellent diver watch that encompasses that vintage diver look and also features Christopher Ward’s signature second hand trident.

Victorinox Maverick Small ($550)

If you are looking for a diver that is suitable for smaller wrists this one will definitely tick all the boxes. It has a unidirectional bezel, in a case size of 34mm and has triple-coated anti-reflective sapphire crystal. It does have a quartz movement but it does feature an end-of-life indicator. As it is a diver it has a water resistance of 100m and Victorinox is known for making their watches extremely durable as that is what their entire brand is based on. Based on all the reviews most women have loved this watch as it provides everything anyone would ask in a diver but at a smaller wrist size.

Hamilton Jazzmaster Open Heart Lady Auto ($945)

A dress watch that also aims to stand out from the rest and it perfectly achieves the right balance between classy and flashy. It comes in a case size of 36mm and the open-heart dial showcases the H-10 Caliber automatic movement that has an impressive power reserve of 80 hours. It also features sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 50m and it comes paired with a calf leather strap. If the open heart is not to your taste, then you do have the choice of purchasing other Jazzmaster Lady Auto options for $895 and these are available in a wide variety of dial colours as well as strap/bracelet options. These prices are directly through Hamilton’s online store, if you were to search around you would find both of these watches at a much cheaper price from other retailers and chrono24.
