TAG Heuer has been releasing some very exciting timepieces this year and for a brand known mostly for their involvement in motorsports they have just released one of the best divers this year. The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Night Diver comes with a case made with DLC coating and a black ceramic bezel that really makes the white dial pop out. The look of the watch works both aesthetically and for its legibility making it a perfect divers watch.
This Aquaracer stays true to the case dimensions as the other steel variations of the watch from its main collection with a case size of 43mm and a water resistance of 300m. The main appeal of the watch being the DLC coating on the case and the black ceramic bezel paired with the white dial and black markers. Unlike the steel variations this watch does not have a shiny steel look instead opting for a more matte approach with rather works well with that bright dial. There is a date window at the 6 o’clock position with a magnifying lens above, however this lens is kept under the sapphire crystal therefore keeping the top surface of the crystal fully flat.
The lume of the watch is Super-LumiNova which is applied on the white opaline dial and also applied on the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock markers as well as the ceramic bezel insert having lume on the 60-minute mark. White Super-LumiNova is also applied on the hour/minute and second hands, this lume effect gives the dial a completely new look compared to it in daylight. It comes paired with a Calibre 5 automatic movement that has a power reserve of 38 hours. The strap of the watch is a black rubber strap that comes with a black DLC steel folding clasp with a fine adjustment system and double safety push-buttons.
This watch is available through authorised dealers and from TAG Heuer online and through their boutiques at a price of $3,350. This watch is also not a limited edition watch which should be great news for a lot of people as this means anyone can get this watch at any time and have a look at in person. Hopefully they keep making watches in this colourway and case pairing as it not only helps with legibility in diving conditions but also has a very cool aesthetic appeal.
