Hublot Big Bang Sang Bleu II Ceramic

Hublot seems to really love their infusion of using ceramic with their watches as they have again released in collaboration with Maxime Plescia-Büchi three new watches all made out of ceramic. These three watches are all limited edition watches and is just a testament of what Hublot is able to achieve in watchmaking as well as the use of ceramic in watches.

While Sang Bleu is not the actual name of the artist, it is the company that was founded by Maxime Plescia-Buchi a brand ambassador for Hublot. While he has made a number of watches in collaboration with Hublot, he has continued to innovate and make extremely beautiful watches. A bit of context about Maxime Plescia-Büchi is that he started a tattoo studio in London called Sand Bleu, which has now grown into a multimedia platform and creative agency as well as a magazine. It is run by Maxime and his wife Hope, aside from working with Hublot they have also worked with the likes of Kanye West, and also Balenciaga and Vogue. The three watches come in blue, grey and white ceramic and all come in a beautiful skeleton style look.

Aside from the colours, they are all identical both in the movement as well as the specifications. All three watches are polished and satin-finished ceramic in their respective colours. Each watch comes with a rubber strap matching with the colour of the watch and has a black accent along the sides of the strap. They are each water resistant to a 100m and comes in a case size of 45mm. They are all powered by the HUB1240 UNICO automatic movement that has a power reserve of 72 hours. This movement can be seen through the exhibition caseback where like the front is displayed through a sapphire crystal. All three watches irrespective of their colours come with the same black ceramic deployant clasp.

All three watches are limited to 200 pieces each and is priced at $27,300 and can be purchased through Hublot and their authorised dealers as well as their website. While it is impressive how Hublot continues to let their brand ambassadors express their own style with watches, it would be interesting to see who else they will work with and what else is in store for Hublot.
