Omega Seamaster Diver 300m Black Black

That was not a typo Omega really did call this watch Black Black however, it does describe the watch perfectly as everything about this watch is in a shade of black besides the movement. While this watch is extremely unique especially for Omega it is not a limited edition watch, therefore everyone would be able to have a chance of either seeing this watch in person or purchasing this watch.

While there is a Speedmaster version of this watch that was released a few years ago, aesthetically it suits the Seamaster a lot more. While the name implies that everything is in Black, it is actually in different variations of grey. From the case itself to the bezel, the crown, the helium escape valve and the dial are all made out of this black ceramic or more technically known as Zirconium Oxide (Zr02). The hands of the watch and the hour markers are made out of black PVD and also being a diver features a lume on them. The strap that is included is a black rubber strap and the buckle on that strap is also made out of black ceramic. There are a variety of finishes on the watch and each have their own shade of grey, and despite the name wearers of the watch will definitely be surprised as to how legible the watch is. Omega has executed this perfectly making it just as easy to read the time as any other normal watch.

The case size comes in at 43.5mm and being a Seamaster it has a water resistance of 300 meters. It is also paired with a sapphire crystal both on the front of the watch as well as the exhibition caseback to show off that Calibre 8806 automatic movement. The movement itself has a power reserve of 55 hours and is a Certified Master Chronometer approved by METAS. It is also resistant to magnetic fields reaching up to 15,000 gauss. The caseback does give a nice contrast from the all black theme that Omega has gone for and makes the movement stand out even more.

It is available through Omega and their authorised dealers from July 2021, and will be priced at $8,650. It is extremely impressive that Omega was able to make this design concept work so beautifully, as it shows that with this watch despite the challenges they faced Omega has made an incredible watch that is very easy to read. As per Omega’s own website this watch comes with a 5 year warranty that covers the repair of any material or manufacturing defects.
