This is just one of the posts as part of the LVMH Watch Week 2021 on some of the novelties presented by the CEO of Hublot Ricardo Guadalupe. This post will be focused the Hublot Classic Fusion Richard Orlinski Black and Blue Ceramic versions. These watches are not limited edition and are available worldwide and both are quite unique in their own way as they resemble the art style of Richard Orlinski and his sculptures.

Richard Orlinski with one of his sculptures

Richard Orlinski is very famous in the art world more specifically for sculpting. He started his journey in 2004 where he devoted to his art full time, and with influences form pop-culture he creates animal sculptures and iconic objects. His aim is to popularise art with everyone and I would say he is quite successful at that as his work is featured in more than 90 galleries worldwide and is also the best-selling French contemporary artist in the world. He is a brand ambassador for Hublot and also has designed some watches in his style in the past as well as these two new watches.

The Hublot Classic Fusion Orlinski Blue Ceramic and the Hublot Classic Fusion Orlinski Black Magic

Now for the specifications about the watches as well as what is so special about it other than it been part of the Orlinski model line. Both watches and their cases are entirely made of ceramic including the bezel as well as the dial. Both have faceted dials in either blue or black which is a direct reference to Orlinski and his style when it comes to his sculptures. They both come in either black or blue rubber straps depending on the colour you purchase. As for the clasp, if you do purchase the black version you get a black stainless steel deployant buckle clasp while with the blue version it is just a normal stainless steel deployant buckle clasp. They both have sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment and comes in a case size of 40mm. It comes with an automatic movement which is the Hublot calibre HUB1100 and comes with a power reserve of 42 hours.

A comparison of both watches

The watch is priced at $13,600 for either the blue or the black model and can be purchased through Hublot or any authorised dealer. They are initially released for only 200 pieces but they are not limited edition and more will be available soon. My personal favourite is the Orlinski Black Magic as I think the faceted ceramic dial goes best with a dark tone as it allows for a much more intriguing look compared to the Orlinski Blue Ceramic.
