Seiko 2021 Sakura Blooming Limited Models

For 2021 Seiko is releasing four different watches that are all limited and part of the Sakura Blooming collection. Two of the watches are part of the Lukia model line, while the other two are part of the Seiko Selection model line. They are all limited to a few hundred pieces each, I will go through each one and the minor details and specifications for all four watches as well as the price and where and when it will be released.

The first watch I will talk about is the Seiko Lukia 2021 Sakura Blooming Limited Model SSVW191 which has a recommended retail price of ¥110,000 or $1,060 and is limited to 600 pieces. It has a quartz solar movement and is also radio controlled, meaning that the watch charges by sunlight and also receives a radio signal that ensures that the time and date displayed on the watch is always accurate until the 31^st of December 2099. It has a water resistance of 100m and is also has sapphire crystal to ensure that it is virtually scratch proof. The watch also has a high magnetic resistance and the hour and minute hands are luminous. The watch comes with 10 diamonds set on the top and bottom of the case and comes in a white butterfly dial.  The white butterfly dial is better described through pictures which are shown below. The back of the watch has the usual specifications of the watch and it also states limited edition on the case back. It comes with a stainless-steel bracelet with rose gold colour details on the middle of the links.

The second watch I will talk about is the Seiko Lukia 2021 Sakura Blooming Limited Model SSVR138 which has a recommended retail price of ¥55,000 or $530 and is limited to 800 pieces. It has a solar movement but it does not have a date function and is also not radio controlled so the time has to be manually set if you move destinations or travel. It apparently has a full charge of 6 months so once enough energy is stored it will run for 6 months without any light. The case is in stainless steel but has pink gold plating and has sapphire crystal again ensuring that watch is virtually scratch proof. It has a 100m water resistance and also has a high magnetic resistance. It comes with 11 Swarovski crystals and a special cherry-coloured Swarovski crystal at 7o’clock and the dial is also a white butterfly dial. The bracelet is entirely made of stainless-steel that is coated in pink gold. The back of the watch has the specifications of the watch as well as the limited edition stamp.

The third watch that will be released with this collection is the Seiko Selection 2021 Sakura Blooming Limited Model SSDE014 which has a recommended retail price of ¥40,700 or $392 and is limited to 600 pieces. It has an automatic movement with a power reserve of 41 hours. The case is made of stainless steel and like the others is rose gold plated. The dial is the same which is the white butterfly dial and has some more extra details unlike the others. There is a soft green image of cherry blossom leaves at 4 o’clock and there is a dark pink Swarovski crystal at 10 o’clock and there is also an open heart in the shape of a butterfly showing the movement of the watch. It also has a water resistance of 100m and has a high magnetic resistance just like all the other watches in this collection. Unlike the Lukia line this one has Hardlex crystal which is Seiko’s own mineral that they use and the hands and markers of the watch are luminous. The bracelet is made of stainless steel and the middle links has a small part that is rose gold plated. The back of the watch has the specifications of the watch as well as the limited edition stamp.

The final and fourth watch that will be released with this collection is the Seiko Selection 2021 Sakura Blooming Limited Model SWFA192 which has a recommended retail price of ¥33,000 or $318 and is limited to 600 pieces. It has the exact same movement as the SSVR138 meaning that it is a solar movement with a power storage of 6 months. The case of the watch is made of stainless steel with pink gold plating and also comes with Hardlex crystal. It also has a water resistance of 100m and also has a high magnetic resistance which is pretty much the standard of all the other watches in this collection. Unlike the other three this is the only watch that comes with a white calf leather strap, the backside of the strap is in pink and also has Seiko stamped on the back. This watch comes with a Swarovski pale pink crystal dial while the back of the watch comes with the usual specifications of the watch and the limited edition stamp.

That summarises all four of the watches that is released as part of the 2021 Sakura Blooming Limited Models. All four of the watches comes with a special edition box that is in white and has cherry blossoms printed on the side of the box. They are all set to be released on February and will be available through Seiko boutiques or online retailers. I can already see it is available to be pre-ordered through Sakura Watches, which has quite a number of very positive reviews for both their website and for other watches that is available for purchase immediately so it might be worth checking out. I am quite happy with this collection as I believe it offers great value for what it is and for limited edition watches it has been done really well.
